DevOps Engineer (AWS, GCP)

What will you do?

You will be working in an agile environment, enabling development teams and ensuring scalability, performance, security, and automated deployments of globally distributed services. Your development work will directly empower organizations with internal tools and help their products meet consumer needs.

  • You will ideate and develop solutions for various technical challenges in cross-functional teams. 
  • You will actively participate in system architecture and product decisions.
  • You will enable the development team with containerization, configuring infrastructure, and building CI/CD pipelines.
  • You will design security policies and promote best practices to your colleagues.
  • You will automate deployments of services on various cloud platforms.
  • You will monitor and operate multi-layered applications powering high-traffic services on a global scale
  • You will proactively help your colleagues grow and work better through code reviews, pair programming, and other extreme programming practices.
  • You will continuously enhance ways of working regarding people, relationships, processes, and tools.
  • You will participate in discussions, facilitate workshops, and share knowledge about your topics of expertise.
  • You will work in a distributed team with co-located and remote colleagues.

Those who succeed in this role usually have:

  • At least 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A passion for technology, sharing knowledge and enabling others
  • A strong sense of responsibility to design, implement and follow resilient security policies
  • Programming experience with at least one scripting language
  • Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable and available infrastructure using Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with serverless computing, infrastructure as code, and policy as code
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines for deployment automatization 
  • A love for terminal and *nix-shell
  • A tool belt equipped with Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, Github, Serverless, Terraform
  • Experience in using containers and great development habits

  • Experience with operating Kubernetes clusters of containerized applications.
