What if girls ran the world?

Posted 2016-09-29 By Madeleine Schönemann

I am not a runner.
I can run about 1 kilometer, until I feel like my lungs are exploding and I swear that I can see my own heart beating through my shirt.

But I am a woman, and I believe that women should unite and support each other. That’s why me and 10 other women at tretton37 will join together with thousands of other women in the event If Girls Ran the World and virtually run around the world in the aim to empower girls globally.

From October 1-31 we will run as much as we can to benefit a charity of our choice. For each 1337 meters we run, tretton37 will donate 50 SEK to the organization Girls in Tech. We chose Girls in Tech since our mission is to create value by sharing knowledge, and what could be better suitable than an organization focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls and women who are passionate about technology?

Looking for a way to support us? Visit our fundraising page here. Or you can do one better and start your own #ifgirlsrantheworld team.

In the spirit of togetherness, and because a little friendly competition never hurt nobody, we're challenging friends, clients and people in the software development industry to bring it on and try to outrun us - in a friendly way, of course.

What if girls ran the world?

”Good morning, somebody kill me right now
I've never felt this kind of a burning cold
I read it somewhere, running is like a drug
As for the second day I can say it is not
It's bright white burning pain
Bring it on, baby!”

Shameless plug: Are you a ninja? We are hiring in all our offices.
